Exciting Public Art Proposal for Hiltingbury Polish Dependants’ Hostel Camp!
Artist Janetka Platun has been selected to create a new public art project that celebrates diversity and honours the history of the Hiltingbury Polish Dependants’ Hostel Camp. Funded by Eastleigh Borough Council and the Arts Council England’s National Lottery Project Grant, the project includes:
* An illuminated sign
* A Polish Silver Birch tree planting
* A permanent plaque sharing the history of the camp
The concept has been approved by local stakeholders, and Chandler’s Ford Parish Council has given the go-ahead, pending planning consent.
