Your Parish Council

Chandler’s Ford Parish Council consists of 18 elected Councillors and covers Chandler’s Ford, Hiltingbury and parts of Velmore. Parish Councillors are elected every four years with the role being technically a volunteer as they are unpaid.

Across the year the Councillors meet regularly as part of either a committee or Full Council. With four main committees, along with the Full Council meetings, there is a full calendar of meetings.

Whilst the Councillors are elected, Chandlers Ford Parish Council is a non-political tier of local government which links in with Eastleigh Borough and Hampshire County Councils, each with their own duties and responsibilities. A graphical illustration of these areas of responsibility can be seen on our Report a Problem page.

Each committee has its own areas of responsibility and meets at various times throughout the year. Meetings are held on a Monday evening at 7pm at Fryern Pavilion with agendas being published three clear working days before.
Residents are welcome to attend all committee and Council meetings and can speak within the Public Participation section at the start of each meeting.

The Parish is part of the Eastleigh parliamentary constituency.
