Cemeteries
Chandlers Ford Parish Council is not responsible for the management or maintenance of Ramalley and Pine Road cemeteries. These sites remain the responsibility of Eastleigh Borough Council, who operate and maintain them in accordance with the Local Authorities’ Cemeteries Order 1977 and the Local Authorities’ Cemeteries (Amendment) Order 1986.
The day-to-day maintenance of the cemeteries is now delivered through Eastleigh Town Council following recent service arrangements. This change relates to operational delivery only; responsibility for the cemeteries themselves remains with Eastleigh Borough Council.
The cemeteries remain open to visitors at all times for pedestrian access. Ramalley Cemetery is open for vehicular access during set hours.
Both sites provide water supplies and litter bins.
Eastleigh Borough Council continues to ensure the cemeteries are maintained and operated as respectful and well-managed spaces for bereaved families and visitors.
