Flexford Nature Reserve

Flexford Nature Reserve is managed by the Hampshire Wildlife Trust. Upper Flexford is accessed from North Millers Dale with on-road parking. To reach Lower Flexford turn into Ramalley Lane and park at the entrance to Ramalley Copse. You can walk through the Copse to Ramalley Bridge over the railway line.

There are footpaths through the woodland areas of both Upper and Lower Flexford, but these can be wet and muddy in winter months. There are no footpaths in the wet grasslands and no public access to the wet meadows at Lower Flexford.

The flower rich meadows are grazed by ponies to promote a diversity of plants. The wet alder woodland alongside the meadows are managed by removing dense laurel which shades out most other woodland plants if allowed to grow unchecked.
