Recreation Grounds
Explore Our Recreation Grounds
Our recreation grounds are at the heart of community life – places to play, walk, relax, and connect with nature. Whether you're looking for a peaceful stroll, a safe space for children to play, or somewhere to meet up for sport and fresh air, our local parks have something for everyone.
We manage three well-maintained recreation grounds across the parish, each offering a unique mix of facilities, green space, and opportunities to enjoy the outdoors - Hiltingbury, Fryern and Pennine Way.
From modern play areas and sports courts to wildflower meadows and green open spaces our grounds are designed to support active lifestyles and promote wellbeing for all ages.
🌼 Enjoy nature with seasonal wildflower displays and tree-lined paths
⚽ Get active with football goals, tennis courts, basketball hoops and more
👨👩👧👦 Play safely in age-appropriate, fenced play areas
🚶 Stay connected with paths that link neighbourhoods and invite exploration
These spaces are cared for by our small but dedicated team of Groundsmen, who work hard year-round to keep the parks clean, safe, and welcoming. Their commitment plays a big role in maintaining the high standard of our recreation areas, and we’re proud of the work they do behind the scenes.
We’re also working to invest in improvements to ensure these spaces remain accessible and enjoyable year-round.
