Awards Season

It might not be the Oscars but we are so pleased to announce that Chandler’s Ford received two awards as part of the recent Hampshire and Isle of Wight Village of the Year competition.  Awarded Runner Up in the Best Open Space category and Winner of the Excellence in Localism.  Recognising the hard work of our Grounds Team maintaining the three open spaces, eight playgrounds, two football pitches, wildflowers, jubilee garden and so much more.

The Excellence in Localism recognises the strong links with community associations, scout and guide groups as well as the work that is going on with Youth Options.  It also acknowledges the vital part that Fryern Funtasia plays in bringing local charities and community groups together, providing a free community event that is accessible to all without the need for a ticket price.
